PTI Protests Disrupt Train Services; Operations Suspended Between Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Peshawar
Rawalpindi: Pakistan Railways has suspended all train services between Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Peshawar due to ongoing protests by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
According to railway officials, all train services between Peshawar and Rawalpindi, Lahore and Rawalpindi, as well as between Multan and Faisalabad to Rawalpindi have been halted. A total of 25 trains scheduled for Sunday, November 24, have been canceled, and tickets for these services have been refunded.
Railway authorities have ordered an immediate refund of tickets for Sunday’s services, and passengers can collect their refunds from temporary ticket counters at railway stations.
A heavy police presence has been deployed at all major railway stations, which have been sealed off to prevent any unrest. Passengers are being advised to collect their refunds promptly from the designated counters.
The suspension of train services is a direct result of the ongoing protests, with authorities taking steps to manage the situation and ensure public safety.
