PTI Proposes Seven Names for Judicial Commission
Islamabad: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has submitted seven names for inclusion in the Judicial Commission to its founder, Imran Khan. Notably, none of the proposed individuals are lawyers.
According to sources, the names sent to Khan include four Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) and three Senators. The suggested MNAs are Umar Ayub, Asad Qaiser, Ali Muhammad Khan, and Amir Dogar. From the Senate, the proposed names are Shibli Faraz, Mohsin Aziz, and Aoun Abbas Bappi.
It is important to mention that the Judicial Commission will include one member each from the opposition in both the National Assembly and the Senate, with Imran Khan expected to approve two names that will then be forwarded to the Speaker.
Two days prior, PTI’s parliamentary party approved participation in the Judicial Commission. The announcement stated that the parliamentary party supported the political committee’s decision and also endorsed a schedule for protests and rallies across the country.
