PTI Prepares List of 200 Missing Persons from D-Chowk Protest, Report to be Submitted to Imran Khan: Barrister Gohar

Rawalpindi: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Barrister Gohar, has revealed that a list of 200 missing persons from the D-Chowk protest has been compiled, and the report will be submitted to PTI’s founding leader, Imran Khan. Speaking to media outside Adiala Jail, Barrister Gohar stated that the party is actively working on the issue, which will be raised at all forums.
Regarding the matter of the missing persons, he emphasized that PTI is committed to addressing the issue and will ensure that the findings are reported to Imran Khan. “We have prepared a list of 200 missing persons from the D-Chowk protest, and we will take this matter forward,” he added.
Barrister Gohar also discussed PTI’s stance on the registration of religious schools, asserting that the party is still in favor of the 2019 agreement regarding the registration of madrassas (religious schools). He reiterated that madrassas should be registered and that students in these institutions should also be taught modern subjects.
Addressing recent controversial statements by PTI leader Faisal Vawda, Barrister Gohar chose not to respond to them directly, stating that he does not engage with such remarks. “Everyone should focus on the efforts to secure the release of PTI’s founder, Imran Khan, whose life is of paramount importance to us,” he stated.
When asked about discrepancies in the reported death toll during the D-Chowk protest, particularly in comparison to statements made by Aleema Khan, Barrister Gohar clarified that he speaks responsibly in consultation with the party’s core committee. “I give statements after careful consideration and discussions with the leadership of the party,” he said.
The PTI leader also responded to claims regarding the spread of false information, mentioning that the number of casualties was initially reported as eight, which later increased to twelve.
