PTI Negotiating Committee Warns of Stalled Talks if Imran Khan’s Meeting is Not Arranged
Islamabad:The spokesperson for the **Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)** negotiating committee, **Sahibzada Hamid Raza**, has announced that if the third round of negotiations takes place without a meeting with PTI Chairman **Imran Khan** and a judicial commission is not formed to investigate the events of **9 May** and **26 November**, the party may not participate in a fourth round of talks.
Speaking during an appearance on **Geo News’** program *”Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Ke Sath,”* Hamid Raza revealed that the PTI had declared a deadlock in the talks by **Tuesday night**, but by **Wednesday**, a message from Imran Khan had arrived, stating that the government committee should submit two demands in writing, which the party was willing to consider.
Raza criticized the government’s failure to fulfill its commitment to arranging a meeting with **Imran Khan**. He further stated that the government should now make a written declaration that it had no demands of its own, as the PTI had previously been accused of attaching conditions to the talks.
Raza emphasized that holding a third round of negotiations without meeting Imran Khan would be pointless. He reiterated that unless a judicial commission was formed to investigate the incidents of **9 May** and **26 November**, PTI would consider not participating in the fourth round of talks.
He added, *”If the demand for a judicial commission is fulfilled during the third round of talks, then we will have 10-12 days left for our second demand to be met. We don’t want to play committee games; we want tangible actions.”*
Hamid Raza also expressed concern over the possibility of external interference, hinting at the presence of listening devices, and said, *”There are people who might not want the meeting with the PTI founder to take place. We are clear that Imran Khan and all political prisoners will fight their legal battles and come out of this. Even if the talks fail, I still see the PTI founder coming out victorious.”*
Raza’s comments underscore PTI’s demand for concrete steps and a judicial inquiry into the events of **9 May** and **26 November**, stressing that negotiations without these measures would lack credibility.
