Islamabad: Members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the National Assembly have submitted sworn statements, following a Supreme Court ruling on reserved seats. According to reports, 90% of PTI’s National Assembly members submitted their sworn statements at the party secretariat.
Sources indicate that the process of collecting sworn statements from other members is ongoing, with instructions from the party to complete the submissions today.
In a specific seats case of the Sunni Ittehad Council, 39 PTI assembly members were designated as party members, while 41 members of the National Assembly were directed to submit new sworn statements of affiliation with PTI within 15 days.
PTI’s lawyer, Muhammad Azhar Siddique, mentioned that the party had scheduled to collect sworn statements from its members on Monday, with directives issued today to National Assembly members to complete their sworn statements.
