PTI MNA Sher Afzal Marwat Defends Himself Over Controversial Slogans at Peshawar Rally

Islamabad:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member of National Assembly, Sher Afzal Marwat, has responded to the controversy surrounding slogans raised at a rally, stating that he is not responsible for the chants and that the party’s founder is not always informed accurately.

In an interaction with the media, Marwat emphasized, *”I was a guest at the Swabi rally, and this was not the first time slogans were raised at such events. My supporters have always raised slogans in previous gatherings too. If the workers were all my supporters at the rally, it was my right for the slogans to be raised.”*

Marwat also criticized those who had advised him on discipline, saying *”Those who try to teach me discipline have lost their minds. Now, I am free from any such constraints.”* He concluded that PTI had organized the Swabi rally, and the responsibility for the slogans lies with the attendees, not with him.
