PTI Leaders Demand Medical Facilities for Party Founder and Criticize Current Government
Quetta:PTI leaders, including former MNA Manzoora Munir, President of the PTI Lawyers Forum Balochistan Syed Iqbal Shah Advocate, and Sardar Zainul Abidin Khalji, have expressed deep concern over the health of the PTI founder. They have urged the government to provide him with medical treatment from his personal physician and called for his release.
Addressing a joint press conference at the Quetta Press Club on Sunday, along with other party leaders such as Nawabzada Muhammad Sharif Jogezai, they condemned the current administration, which they referred to as the “Form 47 rulers.” They claimed that these rulers have failed to address public issues and have instead focused on amending the constitution to benefit their own cases, leaving the nation in a state of difficulty.
The PTI leaders highlighted that the party’s founder has been imprisoned for over a year and is in poor health. They noted that he has been pleading for access to his personal medical care. They criticized the current government for prioritizing its own interests over those of the public, leading to increased inflation, utility bills, and fuel prices, while doing nothing to alleviate the nation’s problems.
The leaders also pointed out that 95 of the cases against the PTI founder have either been dismissed or granted bail, asserting that no one should be above the law. They accused the government of unlawful actions to marginalize the PTI founder and the party.
In response to questions, they mentioned that the PTI founder has appointed Mahmood Khan Achakzai to engage in talks with political parties, as the founder himself wishes to negotiate directly with powerful forces. They reiterated that Imran Khan remains a pivotal figure for the party.
Furthermore, they announced that under the leadership of the provincial president, PTI members from Balochistan have departed for the party rally in Swabi.
