Islamabad:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and opposition figure Umar Ayub has alleged that the incidents of May 9 and March 18 were part of a conspiracy to trap PTI. In an interview with the BBC, Ayub claimed that the CCTV footage from these events would reveal the truth, asserting that the incidents were orchestrated to set a trap for the party.
Ayub further stated that the mandate for negotiations with the ruling parties has been given to Mahmood Khan Achakzai, who is authorized to engage in talks. However, he noted that no discussions have taken place yet.
He also criticized the bureaucratic push for a “Bangladesh model” and questioned the outcomes of such a model, implying dissatisfaction with its implementation.
