PTI Leader Shaukat Yousafzai Threatens to End Talks Over Lack of Progress on May 9 and November 26 Incidents

Peshawar:PTI leader Shaukat Yousafzai has warned that negotiations with the government will end if there is no progress on the commission investigating the events of May 9 and November 26.
In an interview on Geo News’ program “Geo Pakistan,” Yousafzai emphasized that the right to protest cannot be taken away from them. He stated that if there is no rule of law or justice in the country, protesting is the only option left.
“We wish for the negotiations to succeed so that stability can return to the country. Elections can be held either a year earlier or a year later,” he added.
On the ongoing talks between the government and opposition, Yousafzai made it clear that if there is no progress on the May 9 and November 26 incident investigations, the negotiations will come to an end.
He also criticized the government for taking on a massive debt of 27 trillion rupees and demanded transparency about how these loans are being used. He pointed out that the government is using this money for Independent Power Producers (IPPs), and warned that the issue with IPPs could resurface in March.
