PTI Leader Explains Reasons for Not Submitting Written Demands and the Future of Talks
Rawalpindi:PTI leader Barrister Ali Zafar, speaking to media representatives outside Adiala Jail, explained why the written demands had not been submitted and whether the negotiations with the government would continue or not.
Barrister Ali Zafar stated that if a meeting with Imran Khan did not take place, the negotiations could not continue. He emphasized that written demands could not be presented without a direct meeting with the founder of PTI, Imran Khan.
He further explained that the meeting was necessary to present the demands in writing, as the political committee’s engagement with Imran Khan was vital. Without this crucial meeting, there was no way to move forward with formalizing the demands.
Barrister Zafar added that, as of now, no call for a protest or sit-in had been issued. However, he made it clear that since the talks had commenced, PTI’s founder, Imran Khan, had set a deadline. He warned that if the negotiations were not to continue, anything could happen.
This statement reflects the ongoing tension within the political landscape, as PTI seeks clarity on its future course of action in relation to the government’s responses to their demands.
