PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar Talks About Party’s Relations with Establishment

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar has acknowledged that the party has both direct and indirect contacts with the establishment. Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail on Thursday, Akbar stated that he would never claim that PTI has no connections with the institutions, as they have no shame in having links with their own institutions.

He emphasized that these are their own institutions, and there is no hesitation in maintaining communication with them. Akbar also criticized the government, accusing it of disrespecting judicial decisions. However, he assured that PTI would not be intimidated by such tactics.

Referring to the efforts made to end the political career of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Akbar pointed out that despite those attempts, Bhutto could not be defeated, and similarly, even though the government might attempt to weaken PTI Chairman Imran Khan, they will not succeed. “Imran Khan is a leader for three generations, so how can they eliminate him?” he added.

Junaid Akbar further claimed that PTI workers have been trapped in multiple cases. He clarified that the party does not have any conflict with any institution, but everyone must stay within the boundaries of the Constitution.

The PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President also pointed out that the party is not clashing with anyone, but rather, it is others who are confronting them, preventing them from engaging in political activities. He urged that the relationship between the public and institutions should not be strained, stressing that if the state takes one step forward, PTI will take two steps ahead.

Regarding the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Junaid Akbar acknowledged the provincial government’s responsibility but also highlighted that the province’s condition has deteriorated due to Afghan and foreign policies.
