PTI Internal Differences Intensify as Asad Qaiser Demands Investigation into Ali Amin Gandapur’s Statement

ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)** is facing deepening internal divisions as former Speaker of the National Assembly and PTI leader **Asad Qaiser** has demanded a thorough investigation into the recent statements made by **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur**.
In a statement posted on the social media platform **X**, Asad Qaiser urged the party’s central leadership to conduct a complete investigation into Gandapur’s remarks. He emphasized that **Chairman Imran Khan’s** stance should be clearly presented to the public. Qaiser added that while the party reserves the right to respond to Gandapur’s statement, it is essential to avoid making such comments at this critical juncture for the sake of the country and Imran Khan, the founding chairman of PTI.
“We must focus all our attention on the release of Imran Khan and other innocent detainees. Unnecessary statements should not be used to fuel internal party conflicts, as this could weaken the movement for Imran Khan’s release,” said Qaiser.
He also urged the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister to channel his efforts towards better governance, restoring law and order in the province, and focusing on the release of **Imran Khan** and other innocent prisoners. Qaiser concluded by stressing that Gandapur should refrain from engaging in divisive statements that harm the party’s unity.
Additionally, PTI leader **Shehram Turkai** joined Qaiser in protesting Gandapur’s comments, reiterating the call for a full investigation by the party’s central leadership. He also echoed Qaiser’s sentiments, stating that the party must prioritize the cause of Imran Khan’s release over internal disagreements.
This rift within PTI follows **Ali Amin Gandapur’s** recent interview, in which he accused senior party members **Aatif Khan**, **Shehram Turkai**, and **Asad Qaiser** of being conspirators. Gandapur claimed that **Imran Khan** had advised against giving them tickets for the provincial assembly, as he feared they would disrupt the party’s activities.
The ongoing dispute highlights the growing tensions within PTI, especially as the party continues to navigate its political struggles in the wake of **Imran Khan’s detention** and the broader political instability in Pakistan.
