PTI Founder Seeks Early Hearing of Bail Applications in 9 May Cases

Lahore:The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has approached the Lahore High Court for an early hearing of his bail applications in the eight cases registered against him following the events of May 9.
Through his lawyer, Barrister Salman Safdar, Imran Khan filed miscellaneous applications in the Lahore High Court. In his petition, Imran Khan stated that he had been falsely implicated in these cases as part of a political conspiracy, and that the cases were registered against him under political vengeance.
Imran Khan further mentioned that a two-member bench had initially scheduled a hearing for March 24, but the hearing could not take place due to the unavailability of the bench, and the cause list was subsequently canceled.
In his application, the PTI leader has requested the court to schedule an early hearing for his bail applications in the eight cases registered on May 9.
