PTI Faces Severe Financial Crisis, Asks MPs and Ticket Holders for Funding
Islamabad:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is facing a severe financial crisis, and in an effort to overcome this, the party has asked its Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) and ticket holders to contribute funds worth millions of rupees.
According to an official letter circulated among PTI’s members and ticket holders, the party has acknowledged its financial difficulties and urged them to provide financial support during this challenging period. The letter, issued by PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, Secretary General Salman Akram Raja, and Additional Secretary General Firdous Shamim Naqvi, requests that each member and ticket holder contribute an annual sum of Rs 240,000 to the party fund.
The letter emphasizes that PTI is currently undergoing one of the most difficult financial crises in its history. It also mentions that the funds should be contributed in two installments.
This fundraising effort comes following directives from PTI’s founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who has instructed the party to raise the necessary funds to keep its operations running amidst the financial difficulties.
As the party grapples with financial instability, it remains to be seen how the contributions from its members and ticket holders will help PTI navigate through this crisis.
