LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to hold a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore on the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day. PTI has submitted a request to the Deputy Commissioner Lahore for permission to hold the rally.
Senior Vice President of PTI, Akmal Khan Barri, formally submitted the request to the Deputy Commissioner for approval of the rally, assuring full compliance with rules and regulations during the event.
It should be noted that PTI aims to increase pressure on the PTI government for the release of its founder Imran Khan. Earlier, preparations for a rally in Islamabad on July 6 were made, but the administration had revoked the permission.
