Protests Continue in Kharan Over Forced Disappearances
Kharan:Relatives of missing individuals are continuing their protest in Kharan’s Red Zone Missing Persons Square for the third consecutive day. The protest is in response to the disappearance of local businessman Amanullah Muhammad Hasni by the CTD, as well as the forced abduction of Aminullah, Irshad Ahmed, and Dawood by security forces in Killi Jungle Rahmatullah.
Shops in the market have observed a complete shutter-down strike, and many protesters, including women and children, have been hospitalized due to distress. The gathering has seen a large turnout of local activists, farmers, lawyers, teachers, and community leaders.
Speaking at the protest, demonstrators expressed their frustration over the lack of attention from officials. They highlighted that despite having women and children present, no political representatives have come forward to show solidarity or provide assurances.
Protesters emphasized that the attitude of the district administration, elected representatives, and security forces is fostering deep resentment among the people of Kharan, which they believe is detrimental to the state. They have demanded the immediate recovery of the missing individuals, warning that if Amanullah, Aminullah, Irshad Ahmed, and Dawood Baloch are not returned promptly, their protests will escalate further.
