Protests Continue Across Karachi, But Traffic Restored After Quick Action by Authorities

Karachi:Protests and sit-ins continued in various parts of Karachi today, but with swift action by local authorities, their numbers have significantly decreased. According to the city’s Traffic Police, three protests were cleared within an hour and a half, leading to an improvement in traffic conditions across the city.

**Protests Still Ongoing at Several Locations:**
The Traffic Police reported that as of now, sit-ins are still being held at four major locations. These include the closure of both roads at the intersection of Abul Hassan Isphahani Road and Abbas Town, as well as protests near Safari Park and Samama on University Road. A sit-in is also ongoing near Kamran Chowrangi.

**Cleared Protest Locations:**
The situation improved significantly after protests were cleared in several key areas. The roads near Kamran Chowrangi in Gulistan-e-Johar were opened after tensions subsided, allowing traffic to flow freely from Johar Chowrangi to Johar Mor. The protest at Five Star Chowrangi was also cleared, and the road has been reopened. Additionally, after the end of the sit-in at Shamsuddin Azmi Road in Surjani, the road was opened for traffic. Similarly, the route from Ancholi to Sohrab Goth, as well as from Ghulimar Chowrangi to Nazimabad-2, has also been cleared and is now accessible for vehicles. The protest near Samama on University Road has also concluded, restoring the flow of traffic in the area.

**Traffic Returning to Normal:**
Thanks to the authorities’ quick response, the majority of Karachi’s major roads have been cleared and are now open for traffic. While some protests remain ongoing, efforts are being made to ensure minimal disruption and restore the usual flow of traffic across the city.
