Panjgur: Despite successful negotiations with Barkat Dilmari, head of the Border Unity Committee, the protest camp and hunger strike at Javed Chowk in Panjgur, which has been ongoing for a week, could not be ended. Assistant Commissioner of Panjgur, Zahid Hussain Shahwani, Deputy Commissioner of Gwadar, Jehanzaib Noor Shahwani, and other officials visited the hunger strike camp. Assistant Commissioner Gwadar Jehanzaib Noor Shahwani stated that all demands of the Border Unity are legitimate and public-oriented demands, which will be acted upon by the district administration. He emphasized ongoing efforts to improve all matters related to the border and provide better facilities to the public. District Chairman Abdul Malik Saleh Baloch vowed not to let the borders fall into the hands of mafias and assured that any injustice against the poor will be promptly addressed by the district administration. Head of the Border Unity Committee, Barkat Dilmari, affirmed that they will continue their protest until their demands are met, and expressed willingness to engage in further dialogues with the district administration without withdrawing their protest until they gain trust in their assurances. Assistant Commissioner Panjgur Zahid Hussain Shahwani assured that they will prioritize resolving all issues, including those at the border, on urgent basis and begin work on the demands accepted today.
