Protesters in Gwadar Urged to Show Flexibility Amid Severe Food Shortages, Says MLA Hidayat Rehman
Gwadar: Member of Provincial Assembly Hidayat Rehman has appealed to the protesters of the Balochistan United Committee (BYC) to demonstrate flexibility in light of the deteriorating conditions in Balochistan, particularly in Gwadar. Speaking to the media, Rehman highlighted the escalating severity of the situation, including shortages of food supplies and difficulties in transferring patients to major cities like Karachi.
Rehman emphasized the need for dialogue and negotiation to address the issues at hand. He stated that the agreement reached between the district administration, BYC, and all parties is being strictly implemented, including the restoration of internet services and mobile phone signals.
As a public representative, Rehman assured his commitment to improving facilities for the people and resolving their issues as swiftly as possible. He urged all relevant parties to consider the citizens’ hardships and play a constructive role in resolving the situation. Despite these appeals, BYC has announced the end of their agreement and the continuation of their protest.
