Protest in Quetta: PPP Official Condemns Disruption of Public Institutions
Quetta:Haji Ali Maddad Jattak, a member of the Pakistan Peoples Party’s Central Executive Committee and provincial minister for agriculture, has expressed deep concern over the confrontation during protests by the Baloch Unity Committee, which has resulted in a regrettable alignment against institutions.
He stated that attempts to disturb the province’s peace will not succeed under any circumstances, emphasizing that the dignity of Baloch women is the dignity of all Balochs. The sanctity of homes and privacy is greatly respected among the Baloch community, and Maddad Jattak questioned the practice of placing Baloch women in protest on streets in front of institutions.
He questioned whose agenda and what attitude are reflected in the confrontation against institutions repeatedly and challenging the state’s writ and engaging in protests against women is an insult to Baloch social norms and Balochistan.
State institutions work hard to ensure the protection and safety of the public, he said, adding that the government is determined to find mutually beneficial solutions through constructive dialogue with seriously affected parties and is convinced that the problems should be resolved through peaceful negotiations
