Protest Camp of Families of Missing Persons Ends After Seven Days

Turbat:The protest camp set up by the families of forcibly disappeared individuals in Turbat has concluded after a seven-day period, during which the families initiated a hunger strike. The camp, located in front of the district administration office in Kech, has garnered attention from various authorities including the Commissioner of Makran, the Treasury Department, and the District Chairman of Kech. These offices have been closed for the past week alongside the district administration office.

Following the completion of one week at the camp, the families of the missing persons began a hunger strike, expressing dissatisfaction that their loved ones have not been recovered. They stated that if their demands are not met, they are prepared to resort to all options available for protest. During the protest camp, Bibi Sharraton, the mother of missing person Jan Muhammad from Belideh, fell ill and lost consciousness, requiring medical attention.

The camp has seen a significant number of women and children from various areas of Kech district participating. Leaders from political and social organizations including the BSO Pajjar, Haq Do Movement, and other political and social organizations joined in expressing solidarity.
