Protest Call Finalized After Meeting Between Barrister Gohar and Imran Khan

Lahore: A significant meeting took place on Monday at Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi, between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and senior party leaders Barrister Gohar and Barrister Saif, Advisor to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister. The meeting lasted for about an hour and a half, after which both leaders left the jail and returned.
Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Barrister Gohar confirmed that the call for a nationwide protest led by PTI Chairman Imran Khan has been finalized. He emphasized, “There is no change in the call for the protest. It will go ahead as planned.”
When asked about ongoing negotiations, Barrister Gohar responded, “InshaAllah, when they go, they will talk.” He did not provide further details on the discussions.
Meanwhile, PTI’s central convoy, which had set off from Swabi towards Islamabad the previous day, spent the night on the motorway near Burhan. Early this morning, the convoy resumed its journey towards Islamabad, where the party’s protest action is expected to intensify.
