Protest by All Taftan Bus Coaches Transporters Alliance Continues on Seventh Day

QUETTA:The protest by the **All Taftan Bus Coaches Transporters Alliance** entered its seventh day today, with transporters raising their voices in support of their demands. The meeting of Taftan route transporters was held under the chairmanship of **Haji Malik Shah Jamaldini**, with **Chairman Mir Mahmood Khan Badini**, **General Secretary Haji Abdul Malik Mohammad Hasni**, and other leaders also in attendance.

During the meeting, transporters emphasized that they are not only citizens of this country but also residents of Balochistan, fighting for their legitimate rights. They expressed their concerns about the various issues they face, particularly regarding the numerous check posts along the **Taftan route**, and the unnecessary and burdensome searches being conducted.

The transporters stated that this protest was being held to demand an end to the complications posed by the check posts and the frequent, unwarranted inspections. They made it clear that if their demands were not addressed, the peaceful strike would continue indefinitely. They also warned that, if necessary, they would hold a sit-in on the **National Highway**, blocking the coaches as a form of protest.

Regarding the reasons for their protest, the transporters pointed out that their demands fall within the bounds of the **Constitution** and **law**. Their primary demand was the immediate return of buses that were unlawfully seized by the **Tafatan Rifles** at **Nokundi** and **Dalbandin Rifles**, and the cessation of harassment of transporters and passengers traveling on **National Highway 40**.

Additionally, they called for a policy whereby passenger coaches on the **National Highway** would only be checked once during their journey, to reduce unnecessary delays and inconvenience.

The transporters also mentioned that they have the support of transporters from **across Balochistan and Pakistan** and are preparing for an even stronger protest if their demands are not met. The ongoing strike highlights the growing frustration among the transporters, who are determined to secure their rights and ensure the smooth operation of their business.
