Property Prices Increased by Up to 80% in 56 Cities Across Pakistan
Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced a significant increase in property prices in 56 cities across Pakistan, with rates rising by up to 80%. This adjustment will take effect from November 1.
According to a notification issued by the FBR, the property price in Islamabad’s E-7 sector has been set at PKR 150,000 per square yard, while prices in sectors E-6 and F-7 have been fixed at PKR 140,000 per square yard. In sector F-7, the price remains at PKR 140,000 per square yard, and in E-11, it has been established at PKR 70,000 per square yard.
The price hikes also extend to cities such as Abbottabad, Attock, Bahawalnagar, and Bannu, as well as Bhakkar, Bahawalpur, Chakwal, Chiniot, and Dera Ismail Khan, where new property rates have been introduced. Additionally, property prices in Dera Ghazi Khan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, and Gujrat have seen an increase, along with new rates established in Hafizabad, Haripur, Karachi, and Kasur.
The FBR stated that these updated valuation tables are expected to enhance revenue collection from property transactions.
