Islamabad:Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, held a crucial meeting at the Parliament Secretariat with former Chief Minister of Balochistan, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch. The meeting, attended by National Party’s Central Secretary General Senator Jan Mohammad Buledi, Mir Shoaib Khan Bazai, and Rana Sanaullah, focused on pressing issues including concerns over recent recruitments and appointments at Reko Diq and Gwadar Airport.
Dr. Abdul Malik expressed strong reservations regarding the recruitment processes, highlighting that Balochistan’s locals were being overlooked for positions in these institutions. He emphasized that such actions could exacerbate existing fissures between federal and provincial entities. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif reassured the leadership of the National Party that injustices against the people of Balochistan would not be tolerated and that inquiries would be conducted into these matters.
The discussion also delved into national political developments and mutual interests. Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch commended the Prime Minister’s initiatives to solarize agricultural tube wells in Balochistan and presented his views on the political situation in the province, advocating for practical steps towards resolving Balochistan’s issues through political wisdom.
