Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif Expresses Deep Condolences Over the Murder of 8 Pakistanis in Iran

Islamabad:Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed profound sorrow and grief over the brutal killing of 8 Pakistanis in Iran, calling on the Iranian government to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure they face strict punishment.
In a statement regarding the tragic incident in Iran’s Sistan province, the Prime Minister voiced deep concern and demanded that the Iranian authorities bring to light the reasons behind such a heinous act.
Shahbaz Sharif emphasized the need for Iranian officials to immediately arrest those responsible for the murders and ensure they are punished according to the law. He further stated that countries in the region must work together to implement a coordinated strategy to combat terrorism.
Additionally, the Prime Minister has directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to contact the families of the slain Pakistanis and to ensure that the bodies are returned safely. The Foreign Ministry has also been instructed to take immediate steps in coordination with the Pakistani Embassy in Iran.
In a separate development, the spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Office confirmed that the embassy in Tehran and the consulate in Zahedan are actively engaged in facilitating the return of the bodies. They are also awaiting confirmation of the incident’s details from Iranian authorities.
