Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif Announces Job Opportunities for 150,000 Skilled Workers Through Belarus Collaboration

London: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced that Pakistan has reached a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Belarus to provide employment for 150,000 skilled workers. During his interaction with journalists in London, the Prime Minister emphasized the potential benefits of Belarusian expertise in the manufacturing of agricultural machinery, which will be produced in joint ventures in Pakistan. These ventures will also help create substantial job opportunities for Pakistani youth.
According to an official statement from the Prime Minister’s office in Islamabad, Shahbaz Sharif stated that the visit to Belarus was fruitful and that Pakistan would take full advantage of Belarus’ agricultural sector expertise. The joint ventures for agricultural machinery production will be set up in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister further added that Pakistan is blessed with abundant mineral resources, and he had also visited a factory in Belarus that manufactures machinery for the mining and minerals sector. He assured that cooperation in this field would be enhanced in the future.
Shahbaz Sharif also highlighted the MoU with Belarus to provide employment opportunities to 150,000 skilled Pakistani youth. He emphasized that the selection process would be merit-based and fair.
In his address, he also referred to the speed of development in Pakistan, saying, “The Punjab Speed, which was once Pakistan Speed, is now Super Pakistan Speed.” He attributed this progress to the leadership of Nawaz Sharif and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the nation’s rapid development and prosperity.
The Prime Minister also spoke about Afghanistan, emphasizing that Pakistan considers it a brotherly neighbor. He urged Afghanistan’s interim government to prevent its territory from being used for terrorism, particularly by groups like TTP (Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan), ISKP (Islamic State Khorasan Province), and other terror organizations. He condemned the attacks on innocent Pakistani citizens by these groups, stating that the sacrifices made by Pakistan’s people, armed forces, and law enforcement agencies will not go in vain.
Prime Minister Sharif’s remarks included a heartfelt plea for Afghanistan to control these terrorist organizations and not allow their land to be used for malicious purposes.
The Prime Minister also touched upon the significant role of overseas Pakistanis, announcing the commencement of the Overseas Convention. He highlighted the contributions of Pakistani expatriates who, through hard work, send billions of dollars in remittances back to Pakistan every year. Sharif expressed his commitment to addressing the legitimate concerns of overseas Pakistanis and ensuring rapid implementation of solutions.
He further revealed that remittances from overseas Pakistanis have seen a considerable rise this year, marking a positive economic trend.
