Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif Emphasizes Balochistan’s Development for National Progress

Quetta: Addressing the Cabinet meeting of Balochistan here on Monday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif underscored the crucial role of Balochistan’s development in the advancement of Pakistan. He stated that it is our collective responsibility to alleviate the sense of deprivation in Balochistan and play our part in the province’s progress.

“There is a firm commitment to expanding educational facilities at the divisional level in Balochistan,” he affirmed. “When the youth of Balochistan receive higher education, they will play a significant role in the development and prosperity of the province and the country.”

Expressing his greetings to the Governor of Balochistan, Sheikh Jafar Khan Mandokhail, Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti, federal ministers, and provincial cabinet members present, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said, “I am confident that under the leadership of Chief Minister Balochistan, the provincial government will serve the people of Balochistan diligently, bringing a revolution in development and prosperity.”

Governor Balochistan was described as a seasoned politician, and it is hoped that he will fulfill his constitutional responsibilities well. Prime Minister assured the Balochistan government of complete support in resolving all issues of the province. “It is our collective responsibility to eliminate the sense of deprivation in Balochistan and play our role in its development,” he reiterated.

“When I was Prime Minister in the previous tenure, I visited Gwadar seven to eight times. Upon our government’s return, it was found that the Safe City project had been discontinued,” he recalled. “Gwadar will become a major commercial port. China has provided projects such as airports and hospitals in Gwadar.”

Regarding terrorist incidents, he stated, “Those working against China are enemies of Balochistan, Pakistan, and all of us. We know them all; together, we can eliminate this ulcer.”

He further emphasized, “When billions of dollars in investment arrive, Balochistan will benefit first. Discussions are ongoing with Chief Minister Balochistan and other leaders to resolve issues.”
