President Asif Ali Zardari Under Treatment in Karachi Hospital After Testing Positive for COVID-19

President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, is currently receiving treatment in a Karachi hospital after testing positive for COVID-19. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has appealed to the nation to pray for the President’s health.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called President Zardari to inquire about his well-being. Expressing concern over the President’s health, the Prime Minister prayed for his speedy recovery and directed that the best medical facilities be provided to him.
President Zardari’s personal doctor, Dr. Asim Hussain, informed Geo News that due to the positive COVID-19 test, President Zardari’s meetings have been restricted, and he is being kept in complete isolation. Dr. Hussain further mentioned that the President is under the care of infectious disease specialists, and multiple tests have been conducted, with continuous monitoring in place.
Meanwhile, Sindh’s Senior Minister, Sharjeel Memon, has rejected rumors that President Zardari will be transferred to Dubai. He confirmed that President Zardari will not attend the 4th April ceremony for the death anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, and instead, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will address the gathering.
Governors of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh, Sardar Salim Haider, Faisal Karim Kundi, and Kamran Tessori, respectively, have also prayed for the President’s swift recovery. Governor Kamran Tessori even sent a bouquet to the hospital for President Zardari, and Punjab Assembly Speaker, Malik Ahmad Khan, also offered prayers for the President’s good health.
