Pregnant Woman Brutally Tortured by In-Laws in Muzaffargarh, Left Severely Injured

MUZAFFARGARH – In a deeply disturbing case of domestic violence, an eight-month pregnant woman was subjected to brutal torture by her in-laws in the Basti Arif area of Jatoi Tehsil. According to national media reports, the woman’s arms and legs were broken during the attack, and she was later thrown out of the house in a severely injured condition.

The horrific incident unfolded when the woman’s husband, son, and other in-laws attacked her using axes, iron rods, and wooden sticks. The assault was reportedly fueled by suspicions regarding the woman’s character.

The victim suffered multiple fractures—both arms and both legs—and was left helpless on the street. Local residents alerted the police, and rescue teams immediately transported her to the THQ Hospital for emergency treatment.

In her statement to police, the woman named her husband and in-laws as the attackers, stating they accused her of infidelity without evidence and subjected her to merciless violence.

Despite the victim’s family initially refusing to pursue legal action due to fear or pressure, the police took suo motu action and registered a case against five suspects, including the victim’s husband, father-in-law, brother-in-law, and son. Police say raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.
