Poultry Supply Ban from Punjab Causes Chicken Prices to Soar in Quetta
Quetta:The Punjab government has imposed a ban on transporting chickens to Balochistan and other provinces, resulting in a sharp increase in chicken prices in Quetta. With the supply of chickens halted, the prices in the city have surged, pushing the cost of chicken meat to as high as 720 rupees per kilogram.
The Balochistan Poultry Traders Association has expressed concerns that if the supply of chickens from Punjab is not restored within two days, chickens will become unavailable in Quetta.
