Islamabad: Petroleum product prices are likely to witness a substantial increase starting from July 16. According to sources, the price of petrol could rise by Rs. 7.67 per liter, high-speed diesel by Rs. 3.72 per liter, and kerosene by Rs. 2.73 per liter.
A proposal to increase petroleum prices has been prepared for approval, which will be presented to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for final consent. Following consultations with the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Finance will announce the new prices tonight.
