Islamabad:There is a possibility of a reduction in petroleum product prices across the country starting from August 1st. According to sources, the price of petrol could potentially decrease by up to Rs. 3 per liter, while diesel prices may see a reduction of Rs. 8.50 per liter. Additionally, a decrease of Rs. 9.11 per liter is expected in the price of kerosene oil.
Sources from the Ministry of Petroleum Division have indicated that due to lower global crude oil prices, Pakistan may also witness a decline in petroleum product prices.
The final summary regarding the prices of petroleum products will be sent to the government for approval, following the directives of the Prime Minister’s Finance Advisor. The new prices of petroleum products are expected to be announced on July 31st.
It is noteworthy that the government had increased the prices of petrol and diesel significantly twice last month.
