Political Instability Hampering Pakistan’s Progress: Federal Minister Qaisar Ahmed Sheikh

Faisalabad: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Qaisar Ahmed Sheikh emphasized the need for dialogue to achieve political stability, stating that political turmoil is often created whenever the country begins to show signs of progress.
Speaking to the media at the convocation ceremony of the FAST University Chiniot and Faisalabad campus, Sheikh highlighted that political stability can only be achieved through open communication. He stressed that democracy does not allow for violent politics or protests, and that peaceful protests should not disrupt daily life or destabilize the country’s system.
“Political stability is crucial for Pakistan’s development. Without it, the country cannot progress,” Sheikh said. He urged all political parties to take a step back and focus on improving the political environment to ensure economic stability.
He also expressed concern that whenever Pakistan begins to develop, political chaos is deliberately instigated, hampering the country’s growth potential. Sheikh pointed out that Pakistan currently has significant opportunities for progress, as it is strategically positioned as a regional hub for trade and economic development.
Addressing the current state of the economy, he attributed the economic decline to political divisions. He called for all stakeholders to adopt a collaborative approach to ensure that Pakistan joins the ranks of developed nations in the near future.
