Quetta:In a strongly worded statement, Nawab Mohammad Khan Shahwani, Chief of Barkat Tamandar, has condemned the brutal police crackdown during a peaceful protest rally of Baloch families in Quetta. The incident involved police charging with batons, tear gas shelling, and resulting in severe injuries to Baloch women protesters.
Shahwani asserted that such inhumane actions against Baloch women are unacceptable and violate their fundamental rights. He criticized the misuse of authority by law enforcement, emphasizing that it not only harms individuals but also undermines societal norms and values in Balochistan.
Calling for immediate legal action against the police officers involved, Shahwani demanded swift justice for the affected families. He urged authorities to promptly locate missing loved ones of the disappeared individuals and ensure their safe return to their families.
The Chief of Barkat Tamandar concluded by appealing to the public to join in solidarity against such acts of violence, emphasizing the need for authorities to uphold justice and respect human rights without prejudice or discrimination.
