Police Raids on PTI Workers’ Homes as Party Offices Close in Rawalpindi

Islamabad / Rawalpindi: Police from 32 stations in Rawalpindi conducted raids on the homes of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers in anticipation of protests planned by the party. Despite the extensive operation, authorities were unable to apprehend any active workers throughout the night.
In addition to the raids, PTI’s political offices in Shamsabad, Rahmanabad, Bahria Town, Margalla Town, and Chak Shahzad have been shut down, and many party leaders have gone into hiding. Meanwhile, PTI officials in the Cantonment area have gathered at Dhamiyal House.
PTI leaders have organized a communication strategy through social media and WhatsApp groups. According to their schedule, PTI workers are expected to mobilize on Murree Road after 2 PM.
