Quetta: In a renewed escalation against demonstrators protesting the disappearance of Zahid Ahmed, police deployed tear gas and baton charges at GP Chowk today. The rally, which included numerous women and children, resulted in several fainting due to the gas. Protesters claimed multiple injuries among participants.
Furthermore, authorities sealed off all routes to Quetta’s Red Zone with barriers and containers, significantly restricting movement. Enhanced security measures were also implemented around key buildings in the city.
