Quetta: A rally demanding the recovery of missing individuals, including Zahid Baloch, turned violent as police resorted to baton charges and tear gas shellings, injuring several, including women.
According to reports, the Quetta Police detained several leaders, including members of the Baloch Unity Committee and Vice Chairman of the Baloch Missing Persons’ Voice, during the protest.
The rally was organized in support of Zahid Ahmed, whose disappearance has sparked widespread concern. The use of force by authorities has escalated tensions in the region, with activists condemning the heavy-handed response to peaceful demonstrations.
