PML-N Leaders Criticize PTI’s Leadership Amid Ongoing Protests
Islamabad:Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and Federal Minister **Miftah Ismail** has claimed that the **Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)** party is falling apart, stating that some factions within PTI do not want reconciliation with the founder of the party, **Imran Khan**. During a discussion, he questioned how **Bushra Bibi**, who had previously claimed to be apolitical, was now leading political rallies. He also asked, “If Bushra Bibi is to lead, then what happened to PTI’s slogans against dynastic politics?”
On the other hand, PML-N leader **Talal Chaudhry** also weighed in on the situation, stating that PTI’s final call for protest only managed to gather a handful of people. He emphasized that the government’s strategy had been effective, adding that people from Punjab, Balochistan, and Sindh did not join the protests, and even PTI’s own members were not unified in their efforts.
In his statement, Talal Chaudhry further pointed out that the protests were an attempt to free a convicted individual (Imran Khan) and urged PTI to adopt a more political approach. “PTI should act responsibly,” he remarked.
Meanwhile, PTI’s protest convoy, led by **Bushra Bibi** and **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur**, reached **Ghazi Brotha** after departing from **Peshawar**. The PTI leaders have claimed that **490 party workers and leaders** have been arrested so far, with **100 others reported missing** from various cities in Punjab.
In response to PTI’s protest activities, the government has taken measures to secure Islamabad by blocking roads and placing containers along key access points to the capital. Authorities are working to control the flow of PTI supporters into Islamabad, where tensions remain high.
