PCB’s Efforts to Revive Cricket in Peshawar Face Setback

The Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) efforts to revive cricket in Peshawar have suffered a setback. According to sources, Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar has been deemed unsuitable for the upcoming PSL exhibition match.

The exhibition match is scheduled to take place on April 8 at Arbab Niaz Stadium. However, PCB’s inspection team has raised concerns regarding the facilities, and the board had previously instructed that all necessary arrangements should be in place before the Eid holidays.

Sources indicate that the second floor of the stadium, which is intended for spectators, is not ready, and the relevant departments have expressed their inability to complete the required work on time.

A final decision regarding the hosting of the exhibition match is expected to be made in the next couple of days, with strong possibilities that the match could be moved from Peshawar.
