PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi Congratulates National Cricket Team on Series Win Against South Africa
Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, has congratulated the national cricket team for their remarkable performance in winning the second ODI and clinching the series against South Africa.
Naqvi praised the players for defeating South Africa on their home ground, calling it an outstanding achievement that will undoubtedly boost the team’s morale. He commended the team for their exceptional teamwork, which led to their series victory.
He specifically highlighted the performances of Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, and Kamran Ghulam, who played key roles with the bat in setting up the foundation for the win. “The players displayed excellent teamwork and made the most of their opportunities, with Rizwan, Babar, and Kamran contributing significantly,” said Naqvi.
Naqvi also expressed hope that the national team would continue to deliver such brilliant performances in upcoming tournaments, particularly in the Champions Trophy.
It is worth mentioning that Pakistan won the second match of the three-match ODI series against South Africa by 81 runs, thereby securing an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. Pakistan posted a total of 329 runs in 49.5 overs, and South Africa was bowled out for 248 runs in response.
With this victory, Pakistan became the first team in the 21st century to win three ODI series in South Africa. Previously, Pakistan had won series in South Africa in 2013 and 2021, and now they have claimed a historic third series win.
