PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi Confirms Full Preparations for Champions Trophy, Emphasizes Unity in Cricket

Islamabad:Chairman of the **Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)**, **Mohsin Naqvi**, has confirmed that all preparations for the upcoming **Champions Trophy** are complete, expressing that Pakistan’s stance has been widely appreciated. He reiterated that the tournament represents the nation’s pride, and they will ensure that no harm comes to it. He also emphasized that the essence of cricket should remain a game, free from political influence.

In a meeting chaired by Mohsin Naqvi, the **76th meeting of the PCB Governing Board** was held, where significant updates and developments were shared. Naqvi affirmed that the country is fully prepared to host the Champions Trophy, and that all participating teams will be welcomed with open arms. “We are excited to see all the teams playing on our grounds, and as a country, we stand against the politicization of cricket. This is a game loved by millions of fans,” he said.

Regarding the preparations for the tournament, Naqvi assured that the renovation of the stadiums, including **Qaddafi Stadium**, **National Stadium**, and **Rawalpindi Stadium**, will be completed ahead of the Champions Trophy. “The entire team is working diligently day and night on the renovation projects,” he added.

The meeting also saw the ratification of decisions from the previous governing board session, with members being briefed on the progress of preparations for the **ICC Champions Trophy**. Updates on the ongoing renovation works at key stadiums were shared with the board members.

Naqvi further reiterated that from day one, his focus has been on the victory of **Pakistan cricket**. “The PCB is fully prepared in every way to host the **Champions Trophy**,” he concluded, expressing confidence that the event will be a resounding success.
