Passenger Bus Crash Near Fateh Jang on M-14 Motorway Kills 10, Injures 7

Islamabad:A tragic accident occurred on the M-14 Motorway near Fateh Jang when a passenger bus, traveling from Bahawalpur to Islamabad, crashed, resulting in the deaths of 10 passengers and injuring 7 others.

According to media reports, emergency teams from the motorway police and Rescue 1122 rushed to the scene of the accident and provided initial medical aid to the injured. The injured and deceased were later transported to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Fateh Jang for further treatment and identification.

A spokesperson for the motorway police stated that the crash occurred due to the negligence and carelessness of the bus driver. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Initial reports from the bus driver suggested that the accident was caused by a tire burst. However, the motorway police have stated that the crash was likely the result of speeding and the driver falling asleep at the wheel. Further inquiries are being conducted to determine the exact cause of the accident.
