Pakistan’s Political Advisor Rana Sanaullah Calls for Continued Dialogue Between Government and PTI
Islamabad:In a recent interview with a private television channel, Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political Affairs, **Rana Sanaullah**, emphasized the importance of continued negotiations between the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), regardless of the outcome of the **190 million-pound case**. He asserted that political issues can only be resolved through dialogue, and that negotiations must continue to move forward.
Rana Sanaullah said, “The decision of the 190 million-pound case is beyond our control, but this should not halt the process of dialogue between the government and PTI. Regardless of what the outcome is, talks should persist. There is a strong feeling within the PML-N that political matters must be resolved through negotiations.”
He further stated that talks could take place on any issue with PTI, but he made it clear that there were no guarantees as to which demands would be accepted. “While discussions can occur on all issues with PTI, it is not guaranteed which demands will be agreed upon,” he explained.
### **Progress in Negotiations**
Rana Sanaullah also revealed that **the Speaker of the National Assembly** had recently contacted Prime Minister **Shehbaz Sharif**, and that there would be progress in forming a committee in the coming days to continue dialogue. “The Speaker has been in touch with the Prime Minister, and there will be developments regarding the formation of a committee in a day or two,” he said.
### **Addressing PTI’s Complaints**
Regarding PTI’s ongoing complaints, Rana Sanaullah remarked that the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had already endured similar challenges. “The issues PTI is raising are things we have already gone through. Once we sit at the table, we will remind them that these same things have been happening since 2018,” he added.
### **No Halt to Negotiations**
On the **190 million-pound case**, Rana Sanaullah emphasized that the issue was not in the government’s hands, and the negotiations must proceed regardless of the case’s outcome. “This case is not in our control, but no matter the decision, the process of negotiations should not stop,” he reiterated.
### **Resolving the Madrassa Registration Bill**
The Advisor also discussed the recent meeting between **Maulana Fazlur Rehman** and the Prime Minister, in which they discussed the **Madrassa Registration Bill**. Rana Sanaullah expressed hope that the issue would soon be resolved. “The Ministry of Law will give its opinion on this matter, and both parties will accept whatever decision is made. If Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s meeting had taken place 10 days earlier, the issue would have already been resolved,” he said.
He noted that Maulana Fazlur Rehman had proposed that his madrassas be registered under the **Societies Act**, but he clarified that there was no objection to madrassas registered under other boards.
### **Conclusion**
Rana Sanaullah concluded by reiterating that dialogue between the government and PTI must continue and that political issues must be addressed through mutual understanding and negotiation. He remained optimistic that all political disputes could eventually be settled through consistent dialogue, cooperation, and understanding.
