Pakistan’s Ambassador to Oman Denies Pakistani Involvement in Muscat Mosque Attack
Islamabad:Pakistan’s ambassador to Oman, Imran Ali, has stated that none of the three terrorists involved in the recent terrorist attack at the Imam Bargah Ali bin Abi Talib in the Wadi Kabir area of Muscat, Oman, have any connection to Pakistan.
In a video message, he emphasized that reliable information confirms that those responsible for the attack have no ties to Pakistan. He condemned the propaganda circulating on social media in this regard as untrue.
Ambassador Imran Ali highlighted that four Pakistanis lost their lives in the incident while saving others, including children, mothers, sisters, and innocents. He praised Pakistanis for rescuing people and reiterated that no Pakistani was involved in the attack. He expressed Pakistan’s readiness to cooperate with Oman’s government and people, sharing mutual sorrow.
Defense analyst Syed Mohammad Ali, speaking to V News about Indian propaganda regarding Pakistanis’ involvement in the Muscat Imam Bargah attack, pointed out three important facts about the incident:
1. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack.
2. The attack occurred during the sacred month of Muharram.
3. Four Pakistanis were martyred in the attack.
Syed Mohammad Ali emphasized that ISIS, a terrorist organization banned by the United Nations, has previously carried out such attacks during Muharram. He also highlighted deep ties between ISIS and Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), both of which have engaged in terrorist activities in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
He stated that Pakistan’s government and security agencies have repeatedly presented evidence that TTP finds refuge in India. Several TTP commanders have confessed to collaborating with ISIS, demonstrating India’s deep connection with terrorism in Pakistan.
He further clarified that while the incident unfolded, Indian media propagated baseless claims that the deceased Pakistanis were actually ISIS terrorists. Now that the truth has come to light and ISIS has accepted responsibility, Ambassador Imran Ali’s clear statement in Oman confirms that those who sacrificed their lives saved women and children. He emphasized the necessity of presenting India’s actual truth to the world.
It is noteworthy that on July 15, in Muscat, the capital of Oman, firing in a mosque during a gathering resulted in the deaths of six people, including four Pakistanis, and injuries to 30 others. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack, a fact confirmed by Omani authorities and international media reports.
According to Omani authorities, terrorists held participants, including women and children, hostage for three hours during the mosque gathering. Later, in a security operation, all three attackers were neutralized, and one police officer lost his life in the operation.
