Pakistanis Hit Back at Modi’s Threatening Remarks: “Empty Vessels Make the Most Noise

Pakistanis have strongly reacted to Indian Prime Minister **Narendra Modi’s recent inflammatory speech**, calling his remarks empty rhetoric aimed at misleading his own people and stirring unnecessary hostility.
Social media users and political commentators in Pakistan dismissed Modi’s statements, saying: **”Modi is making noise like an empty vessel”** and that **”the world media is laughing at him while he tries to fool his own people.”** Many pointed out that this is not the first time such provocations have come from the Indian premier, and emphasized that **Pakistan has responded before — and will respond again if necessary.**
The backlash came after Modi, during an election rally in Gujarat two days ago, said:
*”To free Pakistan from terrorism, its people must take a stand. Live peacefully, eat your meals — or else, my bullet is always ready.”*
Pakistan’s **Foreign Office** responded sharply, **condemning Modi’s remarks** and calling them a part of **his election campaign theatrics**. The spokesperson stated:
“If India is truly concerned about extremism, it should focus on the rise of **Hindutva ideology** and **persecution of minorities within its own borders.**”
The statement added that India is attempting to **divert global attention** from **ongoing human rights violations in Indian-occupied Jammu & Kashmir** by issuing such hostile and irresponsible comments.
Analysts suggest Modi’s rhetoric is designed to **rally nationalist sentiment** ahead of elections, often by invoking **Pakistan as a threat**, a tactic that has drawn widespread criticism both domestically and internationally.
