Pakistanis Can Travel to Qatar Without Visa, But Under Specific Conditions

There has been circulating news on social media that Pakistanis can now travel to Qatar without a visa. While this news is accurate, there are several clarifications that need to be made regarding the duration and purpose of this visit.

To get a clearer picture, *V News* reached out to several visa consultants and travel agents to understand the requirements for traveling to Qatar without a visa.

Muhammad Adnan Parcha, Vice Chairman of the Overseas Employment Promoters Association, clarified that those who think they can travel to Qatar without a visa to search for a job are mistaken. This facility is provided by the Qatari government exclusively for tourism purposes.

He further explained that this “Visa on Arrival” is primarily used by business professionals or individuals traveling for interviews or meetings. With this visa, a Pakistani can stay in Qatar for a maximum of 30 days. However, it is mandatory to have a return ticket and confirmed hotel reservation for the entire stay. A polio vaccination card is also required.

Adnan Parcha also mentioned that travelers must ensure their bank account has at least 5,000 Qatari riyals, a requirement set by the Qatari government.

It was also revealed that this facility was introduced by Qatar in 2022, and it has been mostly utilized by business professionals and tourists.

Travel agent Junaid Yusuf explained that travelers must have a confirmed return ticket and hotel booking, specifically through the “Discover Qatar” website.

Another travel agent, Muhammad Farhad, highlighted that the Qatar Visa on Arrival is a great opportunity for Pakistanis, but travelers must ensure that all their documents, especially hotel booking and return ticket, are in order. He also mentioned that Qatari authorities may carry out additional checks, so it is advised to verify all requirements before traveling.

To sum up, this facility can only be used for tourism or business purposes and not for employment purposes.
