Islamabad:Pakistani actress Mariam Nafees has spoken out about a disturbing incident at a petrol pump in Garden Town, Lahore, involving harassment of a young male attendant named Yousaf. Just two days ago, several girls allegedly harassed Yousaf at the pump’s convenience store, an incident that was captured on viral social media footage.
Following the incident, the girls filed a case against Yousaf, which was subsequently dismissed by the court. Now, according to Yousaf, pressure is being exerted on him to settle the matter, prompting him to seek legal recourse against the girls.
Addressing the issue in a video statement, Mariam Nafees emphasized her familiarity with both girls involved, one of whom she describes as a close friend. Nafees initially refrained from commenting on the incident, hoping for a balanced view to emerge, but was compelled to speak out due to ongoing threats of rape and murder directed at the girls since the incident.
Nafees alleged that Yousaf had verbally abused both girls, commenting on their appearance and attire, and used inappropriate language. She claimed that when the girls rebuked him, he allegedly demanded they leave the store, which they refused.
