Islamabad:Malika Noor, the most experienced player of the Pakistan women’s football team, has declared her retirement from international football. Malika Noor had joined the first-ever Pakistan women’s football team formed in 2010 and has since represented Pakistan as a defender in every significant event.
Malika Noor played a total of 25 matches for Pakistan in various events. She notably scored Pakistan’s first international goal against Maldives in 2010.
Announcing her retirement on social media, Malika Noor expressed that this decision was the most difficult one of her life. She mentioned that while she was not mentally prepared for it and wanted to play for Pakistan for a few more years, circumstances have changed, leading her to retire from international football.
Malika Noor intends to continue playing strong in domestic football matches.
