Pakistan to Play First T20 Match Against Zimbabwe Today
Islamabad:Pakistan will play their first T20 match against Zimbabwe today at Queens Club. After winning the One-Day International series against Zimbabwe, Pakistan will begin the T20 series with a relatively inexperienced team, led by Salman Ali Agha.
The match will begin at 4:00 PM Pakistani time. This will be Salman Ali Agha’s second stint as Pakistan’s captain, while Ameer Bin Yousuf will make his international debut. Key players such as Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Abdullah Shafique, Kamran Ghulam, and Faizal Akram have been left out of the squad for this series.
The national selection committee has included Saim Ayub, Aamir Jamal, and Abrar Ahmed in the T20 squad. Pakistan’s squad for the 3-match T20 series against Zimbabwe consists of 17 players.
Pakistan has announced its playing XI for today’s match. Apart from Captain Salman Ali Agha, the selected players are Saim Ayub, Ameer Bin Yousuf, Usman Khan, Tayyab Tahir, Irfan Khan, Jhandad Khan, Abbas Afridi, Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed, and Sufyan Maqeem.
